My Dreams

My dream is to never lose my child-like excitement and curiosity when it comes to learning information, teaching from from a critical and transformative love lens, being introduced to new communities, and laughing from my gut while advocating for marginalized communities.

My dream is to work in an organization and/or company that is mission driven, community oriented, and Actively working to be anti-racist. My future home is continuously willing to speak up with those who are disenfranchised.

My dream is to continue learning about the interconnectedness of education and business in all realms. i am truly excited to learn about this world of business and to begin to uncover blindspots when a business person and educator enter the same room.

My Dream is to embody entrepreneurship intertwining love and passion at the my center of my work.

The Sun and the moon
Your ways R similar 2 the rays of the sun
warm 2 many but 2 strong 4 some
the more u r needed the brighter u shine
watched 4 2 long and your brilliance will blind
the eyes of mortal men who threaten u with doom
they regret 2 c u set but it is time 4 the moon

About Me

I was born and raised in the inner city of Boston, MA.

I am a Mother Caroline Academy graduate. I am an alum of Buckingham browne & Nichols (BB&N) high school. Left for the midwest with a camera and more dreams. I graduated from Lake Forest College majoring in American Studies, Anthropology and Sociology. Examining racism in many forms through many voices is what drew me to UCLA for my M.ed. My focus surrounded urban education through a social justice lens. Since then, I have been working with various populations differing economically and racially overseas and on the east and west coast in numerous educational spheres.I just completed my Fulbright in cape town, south africa as a guest lecturer at the College of Cape Town.

I am the Founder and CEO of THE CHAIR, a Black and Brown tech centered platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. I am a MBA graduate from babson college where I focused in on entrepreneurship and strategy to marry my love of design and education. In addition, I  dove into developing and enhancing techniques and tools engaging in social innovation and science, technology, and enterprise businesses to expand and curate the conversations surrounding race, racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations and companies.

I am a tech entrepreneur, an educator, a dei designer, and a storyteller.

Through my academic, work, and personal experiences, joy and love are core elements in my choice of crafts. joy is light within my body that is refracted in a camera lens and through words that spill from students' lips and those of adults in a classroom and beyond. together with communities, I am working to create an imaginative world for a day, which will turn into a lifetime.

In the menu bar, you will find further exploration of my experiences in the world of the tech entrepreneur, The educator, the dei designer, and the storyteller.
