Captured Emotions of a Beautifully Broken Love Story

 - Lulu's Bookstore

Living in China, Guangzhou, China is like walking into an upside down closet. You know it is a closet but it takes you a minute to realize the shirt is not the pair of pants you wanted and the hat is not a shoe. The magic is figuring it all out. True story. Me, Dreme, an African American Woman took a journey, a teaching journey, by myself in hopes of remembering why I loved to teach in the first place. 3rd graders were the center of my world. My heart was broken, often. My belly ached from laughter, tears pooled in my blankets, and anger raged through my pen. However, the journey was beautiful. Captured the eyes of Chinese people on camera. Uncovered emotions scribbled in letters. Listened acutely to the wisdom that spilled from the lips of 3rd graders and the people who entered and surrounded my life. And loved. Loved. And still love. My year experience was a beautifully broken piece of art. Read with me. Feel with me. Learn with me. Dream with me.

  "An Empowering Experience"

Babson College Career Development Blog

I had the opportunity and pleasure to attend the National Black MBA Association Inc Conference, which was from September 23-25 2020, held virtually this year. I was able to sit in on a number of panels that showered me with knowledge, advice, and hope. Entering into the business sphere has been a whirlwind of experiences and this conference gave me three major takeaways that have created a strong foundation for me to move forward in my two year MBA Babson journey.
